Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) Spine and Rehab

Mary Washington Healthcare has an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join its outpatient Spine and Rehab team at Commonwealth Spine and Rehab in Stafford, VA. Monday through Friday, with no weekends, no holidays, and no call! This position will be hired directly through Commonwealth Spine and Rehab. With a contracted employment agreement commitment of two (2) years.

You will see 18-25 patients per day, with new patient appointments every 30 minutes, and follow-up appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes. This is an opportunity to create your own schedule—4 ½ days of patient schedule. The first patient is at 8:30am, and the last morning patient is at 11:30am, and then appointments start back up at 1pm, with the last patient at 4pm.

In this role, you will:

• Consult with new patients.
• Follow-up appointments with established patients.
• Physicians generally perform spine procedures or fluoroscopic-guided procedures, and then those patients will follow up with you to see how beneficial that was and what the next step in the treatment plan would be.
• Manage the treatment plan along with the physician for established patients.
• Injections as appropriate.
  • Joint injections, trigger point injections, peripheral nerve injections, etc. This person will do their procedures as they see appropriate. Ideal candidates will have:
• At least two years of pain management experience, interventional pain experience, and ortho experience. In addition to an excellent salary, we provide:
