Interventional Pain Management Physician

Pain management physician with interventional pain training and/or experience. This position is currently 4.5 days/week, with a half-day set aside for personal/admin time. The position consists of 100% outpatient pain management with both evaluations and interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections/medial branch blocks, selective nerve root blocks, sacroiliac injections, trigger point injections, sympathetic blocks, joint/bursa injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, PRP, etc. We are open to discuss any other procedures that the physician feels comfortable in performing.

Fully staffed and equipped in-office procedure suites with fluoroscopy, and RF pulse generator so all procedures can be performed in our office and the pain physician will have full access to the equipment/procedure suite allowing the opportunity and accessibility for a high volume of procedures.

We prefer fellowship-trained board certified or board eligible in pain management.

We employ mid-level providers who handle medication management and patient compliance allowing the physician more opportunities for a high volume of procedures.

No nights or weekends and no call is required.

Procedures are scheduled based on the amount of time that the physician requests and are reasonable and customary for the specific procedure. We have sufficient ancillary staff that helps put information in the EHR system for physician time efficiency.

Information:

  • We do not use IV sedation of patients for procedures in the office. 
  • The candidate must be comfortable managing medications. We have a very strict compliance program which includes drug testing with confirmation along with the Virginia Prescription Monitoring Program, pain psychology, etc.
  • The physician must be computer literate and familiar with the use of EHR systems. We will train on Epic EHR.
  • We are looking for someone with good communication skills, that is a team player, and is highly motivated.

State medical, DEA, VA controlled substance license and yearly licensing fees covered.
