Expand your nursing practice right here at home – opportunities abound at MWHC!  Ramon Locsin, MSET Nurse and ICU Medical-Surgical Emergency Team, has experienced this over the past 19 years, here is his story...

Ramon was working in the medical field in the Philippines and made his way back to the Fredericksburg/Stafford area in 1994.  Ramon has two children, both are also working in the medical field.  When Ramon is not working, he enjoys traveling, working in his yard and gardening.

Years at MWHC: 19

MWHC Journey:  Ramon started at MWHC in the Cardiac/Tele/Renal/Pulmonary unit for about three years and became a charge nurse after six months.  During this time, the Director of ICU encouraged him to challenge himself and for the past 16 years, he has been a staff nurse in the ICU.  In 2009, he applied for and was selected to be an MSET nurse where he works closely with doctors to help directly solve problems on the floor. Ramon can say that MWHC has helped him be the best at his practice due to their evidence-based work and caring leadership.

Fun Fact About Romeo:  Ramon lived in the Philippines where he was a medical doctor for ten years.
