At MWHC your potential is limitless, but don’t just take it from us. Take it from Wanda Ewell, an ED Staff Educator who has worn many different hats during her 17 years at MWHC. Here is her story…

Wanda is a lover of Washington sports (Go Nats!), shopping, and challenging herself, which is why MWHC is a perfect fit. In her time at MWHC, she received her RN and BSN all with the financial help and flexibility of MWHC.

Years at MWHC: 17

MWHC Journey:  Wanda began as an LPN, and quickly developed a high level of trust with her manager. Her manager would be a huge influence on her career, as three years into her time at MWHC they encouraged her to get her RN, something Wanda never dreamed she could do. A few years later, Wanda made the huge leap of following her manager to the ED, and she couldn’t be happier that she did. She found a home in ED, later advancing to be a Charge Nurse in 2012, and then becoming Night Team Lead later that year. This leadership role made Wanda realize her passion for teaching and led her to her current position of ED Staff Educator where she now inspires nurses to reach their full potential just as her manager inspired her.

Fun Fact About Wanda:  Wanda has a 3-year-old rescue dog named Cairo.

“We are a fantastic organization. We care for you and offer great education opportunities so you can always grow and advance in your career.”
