Interventional Radiology has three (3) angiographic suites; two suites equipped with Siemens Artis Zee with Dyna CT and one suite with Siemens Axiom Artis TA, a dedicated Siemens CT scanner with fluoroscopy, and one minor procedure room.

Our highly skilled team of nurses, technologists, and CNAs support nine (9) IR physicians and four (4) midlevel providers.

With 9 prep/recovery bays, our team performs a wide variety of procedures including vascular interventions (such as Penumbra, Angiojet, Clotriever, Flowtriever), embolization procedures, brachytherapy, microwave and cryoablation, dialysis, GI/GU procedures, vascular access, etc.

The hospital imaging departments are fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in all applicable modalities. Our fantastic group of imaging professionals supports the students of the Mary Washington Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. Our hospital-based certification program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

Our team enjoys participating in our cross-training program to gain experience in other imaging disciplines. We encourage our team to share ideas to improve workflow processes, patient experience, and safety.

As a patient-centric outpatient imaging organization, at MIF LLC we work as a team to meet the needs of our patients. Our friendly team of Associates and radiologists provide exceptional patient care, with multiple sites regularly receiving national recognition for patient satisfaction by receiving Press Ganey’s Guardian of Excellence Award.

We provide opportunities for Associates to grow and improve their skills – from formal cross-training programs for technical/clinical minded Associates to pathways for growth from an administrative function.

With six (6) locations across our service area in Fredericksburg, Lee’s Hill, North Stafford and King George, along with 2 dedicated Women’s imaging centers. MIF hosts:

4 CT Units (Philips, GE)
4 MRI Units (GE and Philips) including a 3T GE Discovery and the region’s only open platform magnet a Philips Panorama High Field Open
1 PET (GE Discovery)
16 Ultrasound units (Philips and GE)
8 Dexa Units (Hologic)
8 3D Hologic mammo Units
1 Upright Siemen’s Biopsy Unit
2 Hologic prone table
1 Hologic Affirm Biopsy Unit
8 X-Ray Units (Philips, GE, Dell, Toshiba) with Samsung digital interfaces
1 Flouro Unit (Toshiba)

MIF LLC also runs numerous screening CT exams including cardiac, lung, and virtual colonoscopies.
