PA or NP for Orthopedic Practice in Fredericksburg, VA

We are seeking a PA or NP who is passionate about what they do, focused, hardworking, communicates well, provides good patient care, and can efficiently move patients along in the process. The practice has three facilities (Fredericksburg, Stafford, and Spotsylvania) covering four counties. 

Job Description/Details
The Upper Extremity, Hand/Wrist practice is looking for an APP to work in the clinic and handle pre- and post-op follow-ups, inpatient rounding before clinic or over lunchtime (rare), and periodically assist with consults (rare). Outpatient clinic procedures will include Casting, Injections, Aspirations, Simple Incisions/Drainage, as well as others if capable. You will have a designated MA to assist you with your patients. The expectation is to see 20 patients per day. ON CALL is taking office call 2-3 times a month. You will rotate between the different locations but not in any one day. You will be at one location one day and another location another day, etc. All locations are located within 20 minutes of one another. 

SCHEDULE:

• 7:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. with an hour lunch. Admin time is a half day on either Wednesday or Friday.

Clarification: 3:45 is the last scheduled patient spot. Not the time clinic is finished. Also, the hour lunch is TYPICAL but NOT guaranteed, i.e., if a patient needs to be squeezed in or if a h&p absolutely needs to get done. This does not happen often. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Successful completion of an accredited NP program
• Eligible for or active state license as an NP in Virginia
• Completion of an accredited PA program/board certification
• PA Licensure
